Compaq Contura Aero 4/25 laptop with b/w screen running ancient Windows 95 os.

Originally this machine came with Windows 3.1 from factor, but it can run bare bones Windows 95 (unfortunately with no additional network drivers. So no Internet) with little tweaking.

However using Win 3.1, 3.11 or Win95 makes this machine quite obsolete; To meet todays standards I installed freeDOS operating system and stripped down version of Linux able to boot from freeDOS.

• 170Mb hard disk drive (upgraded to 1.5gb)
• 1 PCMCIA slot
• 3.8 x 26 x 19 cm (almost size of modern netbook)
